“Aidenberg Quarter” in Weissach
In 2015, the municipality of Weissach commissioned six planners communities with an investors expertise. Finally two works were shortlisted, where the jury finally unanimously decided in favour of the design of our company.

This gives rise to a quarter which integrates moderately in the townscape and impresses with its own identity. The topography of the slope offers a varied usage with different levels of living, ceiling heights and flexible floor plans. Bright plastered walls, simple, clear details and a discrete colour and material concept determine a striking, contemporary architecture, which leads to no breaks even though it was implemented in sections.
The urban structure and structural order of the new buildings derive from the hillside road, the topography and the surrounding structures of the neighbourhood. The height of the Aidenbergsteige remains undeveloped and preserves its views of Weissach. From here, new and direct stairways will be built; inner values such as the Quartiershof with play area can thus be combined with the public interest of a route line into the valley.
The energy concept combines block heat power plant (biogas) and air heat pump. The generated heat is used for the heating of drinking water of the individual houses. The heat pump provides heating in winter and cooling in summer. A photovoltaic system is installed on the roof to support the system.
