Winning Design will become reality: “Railway Park” in Bad Boll takes shape

Bad Boll: The first of four buildings has been completed: In the “Railway Park” in Bad Boll, the first apartments were now handed over to the new owners.

“We have supported the project from beginning, therefore, the moment of completion is particularly exciting to us,” said architect Stephan Knödler on the occasion of the first personal apartment handovers to the owners. The final construction works in the second building are also is in full progress.

For apartment buildings, some coordination effort is needed to reconcile the last constructions with individual craftsmen appointments. “The future owners have planned delivery and installation of their own kitchen on a long term basis, obviously, we respect such details,” said the manager of the responsible architectural firm of Göppingen, Gaus & Knödler Architekten. All of three planned residential buildings shall be occupied by the first quarter of 2016. The detailed planning of the fourth building which will predominantly be used by commerce, will be done in parallel.

Almost exactly three years ago, the competition concerning the “Railway Park” in Bad Boll was launched. Five teams of consultants and investors participated in the tender. Gaus & Knödler Architekten together with the investor district construction company Filstal Göppingen emerged victorious and were entrusted with the implementation of the draft. After less than one and a half years of construction, the first apartments were handed over to their owners in April this year.

According to current planning, the second residential building of the future ensemble at the Seilerstraße is expected to be ready by the end of May, the third in the first quarter of 2016. In addition to the buildings, parking lots and parking garages, the railway Park project also includes the design of the entire residential neighbourhood with green spaces, playgrounds and roads. The three buildings each accommodate up to eleven apartments with two and a half to five and a half rooms ranging from 60 to 180 square meters.

The fourth building, in the urban development design of 2012 primarily provided for commercial purposes, is being planned. Not all of the commercial spaces available in the building have been sold yet. Therefore, special requests can still be considered when making a purchase.
