Contemporary art and architecture are both at home in the same creative sphere, both reflecting and addressing social discourse and fashionable trends. It is only logical that Gaus & Knödler Architects should maintain close contact with the neighboring Goppingen Art Gallery and support the institution through the sponsorship association.
Numerous employees at Gaus & Knödler Architects are also committed to social and political issues. The management encourages and supports voluntary work. In doing so, they can often contribute their special experience and professional expertise gained from daily practice, acquired in a company operating in the field of architecture. This is particularly true in municipal politics, where new construction projects, building renovation or urban planning concepts are regularly on the agenda. Michael Reisser, for example, from the G&K team is involved in the district advisory board in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt.
An important topic is the compatibility of work and family – as a human resources manager and mother of two children, Saskia Gaus knows both perspectives. In addition to her honorary duties as chair of the preschool advisory board, chair of the sponsoring association “Buntstift” of Walther-Hensel-Schule Göppingen and member of the parents’ advisory board in Göppingen, her knowledge and experience are also in demand in economic committees: she is chair of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK-Wirtschaftskreis) and a supporting member of Junior Chamber International, as well as active in the working group “Family-friendly companies” in the district of Göppingen. Born in the Netherlands, she also maintains numerous cross-border professional contacts and networks.
